Brevard Classic Races
The Brevard Classic Races are held in Brevard, North Carolina, as part of the White Squirrel Festival weekend. The event features multiple distance options with a start and finish location situated in the heart of downtown Brevard. The courses transition from the downtown area through scenic neighborhoods, greenways, and country roads.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5k
- 12k
- Virtual 5k (US addresses only)
- Virtual 12k (US addresses only)
The routes are spectator-friendly and include stretches through historic neighborhoods along East Main Street, which feature Colonial Revival and Craftsman homes from the early 1900s. Sections of the courses also follow greenway paths that provide views of the surrounding mountain scenery.
All in-person participants receive chip-timing for live results, access to complimentary race photos, and a marked course with route signs. Finisher awards include a custom-designed wooden medal with a leather cord. Registration includes an event shirt if completed before the specified deadline. Free parking is available for participants on race day. The event is open to various age groups, and children aged 12 and under are eligible for discounted registration fees for the 5k distance.
