Brevard Classic Races
The Brevard Classic Races take place in downtown Brevard, North Carolina, during White Squirrel Weekend on May 23, 2026. The event offers two measured road courses that start and finish in downtown and run on community-lined streets, greenways, and country roads with rolling hills and shady sections.

All registered participants receive a commemorative finisher item and a race shirt while shirts are available through the stated registration deadline. The event uses professional chip timing and posts results and free professional photos after the race. Overall and age group awards are given, and there are opportunities to earn course record prizes.
The race is held alongside a free community celebration featuring live music, children’s activities, craft vendors, and local downtown shopping. A virtual race option is available; virtual participants receive mailed swag. Roads along the course are open to traffic, and some sections require using greenways or sidewalks. Well-marked routes and volunteers are provided along the course.
The event partners with a local foundation that provides needs-based scholarships to help Western North Carolina youth and adults access sporting events and related expenses.
