BRAT - Eastern Triathlon Series Race 3 : Maroubra, 1 March 2026
This event is the third race of the Eastern Triathlon Series, organised by Bondi Running and Triathlon (BRAT) Club Inc. It takes place at Heffron Park and the Des Renford Leisure Centre in Maroubra and is run as a volunteer, not for profit series.
Races and distances:
- Sprint (15+): 700m swim (14 laps), 20km bike (10 laps), 5km run (4 laps)
- Enticer (15+): 200m swim (4 laps), 10km bike (5 laps), 2.5km run (2 laps)
- Kids (10-14): 100m swim (2 laps), 4km bike (2 laps), 1km run (2 laps)
Swim sessions are lane based with lap counting; athletes must touch the pool end to count laps and swim clockwise on the left side of the lane. Waves are assigned by swim time: Wave A under 13 minutes, Wave B over 13 minutes.
Bike and run courses use lap formats on public park roads and paths. The event is non drafting with a 10 metre draft zone and a maximum 20 second allowance to pass through the draft zone. Helmets must be worn and helmets must be fastened before removing a bike from the rack. Penalties for rule breaches include time penalties and disqualification.
Prize money is offered for first, second and third places in the adult fields. The series follows Triathlon Australia competition rules. Registration closes 28 February 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
