Brain Freezer 5K
The Brain Freezer 5K takes place on 09/11/2027 in Burlington, Vermont, with the event area centered at North Beach Park. The course runs along the Lake Champlain bike path between North Beach and Waterfront Park, with an ice cream eating pit stop located in Water Works Park.
Participants cover a 5K distance. Challengers run half the distance, stop to consume a full pint of Vermont-made ice cream, then complete the remaining half of the race. Participants who enter as fun runners are not required to finish a pint. Prizes are awarded for best costume and best team costumes.
Registration for the event carries a fee of $25. All proceeds from the race are directed to People Helping People Global, a Vermont-based international development organization that provides interest-free microloans to people living on less than $2 a day.
