Boxing Day Pudding Run
The Boxing Day Pudding Run takes place on 26 December 2025 at The Links, Whitley Bay, North Tyneside. The event is organised by North Shields Polytechnic Club with Woodlawn School. All proceeds are split between North Shields Polytechnic Club and Woodlawn School, with a donation to North Tyneside Mountain Rescue service. Entry fees are listed as £15.00 for adults and £10.00 for children. Entry is only available online and will close at 11.59pm on 24/12/2025; there will be no on-the-day entry. The event has an entry limit of 1500 and numbers will be available for collection from Whitley Bay Comrades Club on Tuesday 16 December 2025 between 5.30pm and 8.30pm.
Course and race details
The course is a single lap road route described as undulating. The distance is 5 Kilometres. The finish is next to the helipad, where finishers collect a pudding prize. The event is family friendly, open to all abilities, and pushchairs are permitted. Christmas costumes are encouraged. Dogs are not permitted on the course and scooters or electric bikes are prohibited for safety. The event notes that it is suitable for wheelchairs.
