Boxing Day 5k & 10k at Wakefield Park
The event takes place on December 26 at Wakefield Park in Annandale, VA. It offers timed road race distances on paved park trails that run toward Americana Park.

The course is mostly paved with a short section of light gravel and is described as mostly flat with minimal hills. Both the 5k and 10k use out-and-back routes through the woods on the park trails. Walkers and strollers are welcome. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend on race day.
Runners receive a finisher's medal, a technical DriFit event shirt, and chip timing. Live race results are posted online and via a race day QR code. Runner tracking and SMS race updates are available through the organizer's registration process.
Amenities and logistics include packet pickup at the event, race day registration, and restrooms at the Wakefield RECenter. Water stations: three along the 10k at approximately mile markers 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65; one along the 5k at about mile marker 1.55. Gatorade may be available at some stations. T shirt sizes are guaranteed for runners registered before December 14.
The race benefits Warriors Ethos. Points from this event count toward the Year Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series and toward the Fall Series. Awards are given to top finishers overall and across standard age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
