Bowstones Fell Race (Wed 31 Dec 2025)

The Bowstones Fell Race is organised by Bramhall Runners and takes place on 31 December 2025. The event starts and finishes at St Martin's Church Hall, Higher Poynton, Stockport, Cheshire, SK12 1TE. The course distance is 11 km (about 6.8 miles) with roughly 325 m of climb. The race holds a permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the Fell Runners Association.

Entry and event information

Pre-entry is required and there are no entries on the day. Numbers are collected on race day. The minimum age for entry is 18. The event currently operates a waiting list; payment is taken only if a place is offered and accepted. Entries close on 30 December 2025. All finishers receive a bottle of beer. Teams and junior races are not included for this event. Recorded best times on the course are 00:40:49 (male) and 00:47:55 (female), both from 2014.
