Bowers Heritage Day 5k
Bowers Heritage Day 5k is a community 5K run and walk held on Clifton Cubbage Drive in Frederica, Delaware on October 11, 2026. The event benefits the Bowers Beach Maritime Museum and offers day of race registration.
Race options include:
- 5K run/walk
- Competitive walking 5K - participants must walk the entire race
Participants receive unisex tee shirts and post race refreshments and music. Chip timing is used with the MYLAPS BibTag system provided by R2R Timing Timing Systems. Results are posted online during the event and complete results are published after the race.
Awards are presented by gun time for overall and masters finishers and by chip time for other age groups. Specific awards include top male and female overall, top male and female masters, top three male and female in 10 year age groups from 13 and under through 70 and over, and top three male and female walkers.
Event policies note that no dogs are allowed due to insurance liability, bibs are non transferable, and registrations are non refundable. A course map and sponsor information are provided for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
