Bowers Heritage Day 5k
Bowers Heritage Day 5k is a community running event held in Frederica, Delaware on October 11, 2026. The event benefits the Bowers Beach Maritime Museum and offers on-site day of race registration.

The competitive walking category requires participants to walk the entire distance; running or jogging is not permitted for that category. Registration fees apply and bibs are non-transferable; there are no refunds for registrations. No dogs are allowed at the event due to insurance liability.
Timing is by chip using the MYLAPS BibTag Timing System managed by R2R Timing. Top finisher awards for overall male and female and for masters are scored by gun time; all other age-group awards are scored by chip (net) time. Awards include top male and female, top male and female masters, top three male and female in ten-year age groups from 13 and under through 70 and over, and top three male and female walkers.
Amenities listed for participants include unisex tee shirts, post-race refreshments, and music. Results are posted online during the race with complete results published after the event.
