Bowers Heritage Day 5k : Frederica, Delaware
The event is a community 5K run and walk held on October 11, 2026 in Frederica at Clifton Cubbage Drive, benefiting the Bowers Beach Maritime Museum. Day of race registration is available and there are multiple registration categories with changing fee periods.

- 5K competitive walking (participants must walk the entire race; no running or jogging)
Chip timing is used, with the MYLAPS BibTag system operated by R2R Timing. Results are posted online during the event and complete results are published after the race.
Participant amenities include unisex tee shirts, post-race refreshments, and music. Awards are given by gun time for overall male/female and overall masters, while most age-group placings are scored by chip (net) time. Additional awards include top finishers in 10-year age groups (13 & under through 70 & over) and awards for top competitive walkers.
