Event Overview
The Bourbonnais Township Park District organizes the Turkey Trot, an annual Thanksgiving tradition held at Perry Farm Park. The event utilizes the scenic trails within the park, providing a nature-focused setting for participants. All routes take place on the Perry Farm Park Trails. The event features a prediction element where registrants can guess their finish time. The participant who finishes closest to their predicted time is eligible for a special prize.
Registration and Participation
Registration is organized into tiers, including early bird, standard, and race day options. Those who register by the early bird deadline are guaranteed an event shirt, while later registrants receive them based on remaining stock. Participants under the age of 16 must be registered by an adult. Awards are presented to top finishers based on age group and gender divisions for the competitive races.
