Turkey Trot at Perry Farm Park
Bourbonnais Township Park District holds an annual Turkey Trot at Perry Farm Park. The event is described as family-friendly and takes place on the park trails. It offers timed running events and a walk through the park.
Distances offered:
- 10K run (6.2 miles)
- 5K run (3.1 miles)
- 2-mile walk
Registration is available in several tiers: Early Bird registration is $25 through Sunday, October 25; Standard registration is $30 from October 26 through November 8; Race Day registration is $40 on November 13 and November 14. Participants who register by Sunday, October 25 are guaranteed a race shirt. Registrations received after that date will receive a shirt while supplies last. Pre-registration closes Sunday, November 8.
After the pre-registration deadline, onsite registration is available the day before at Exploration Station and on the event day at Perry Farm Park. Participants under the age of 16 must be registered by an adult.
Awards are presented to top finishers in each race division by age group and gender. The event format includes a predicted-finish-time contest in which the participant whose actual time is closest to their predicted time wins a turkey.
