Boulder Sunrise 10K & 5K Run
The Boulder Sunrise Run takes place at Boulder Reservoir in Boulder, Colorado on June 28th, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- 5K - out-and-back course across the Boulder Reservoir dam.
- 10K - out-and-back course across the Boulder Reservoir dam.
Course, services and rules
Both courses are described as flat and out-and-back, with runners crossing the Boulder Reservoir dam. The 5K notes two fueling opportunities at or near each mile marker. The 10K notes six fueling opportunities at or near each mile marker. Water and Gatorade are available on course. The event is listed as USATF sanctioned, with accurately measured and clearly marked courses, and timed results. Participants receive a shirt and a finisher medal.
The event is a zero waste event. Rules at the reservoir include no strollers on the run course, no headphones or earbuds, no dogs, and no glass bottles. Parking is in the gravel lot adjacent to the paved parking area; attendees are asked to follow directions from parking attendants.
