Event
Turkey Trek takes place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Long Lake Regional Park in Arvada, Colorado. The event offers multiple distances:
- 13.1 mi Half Turkey (half marathon)
- 10k Turkey Trek
- 5k Turkey Trot
- 2k Turkey Toddle (un-timed)
Listed registration prices include fees: Half $64, 10k $42, 5k $32, 2k $26.
Course and on-course challenges
The main loop includes a steady uphill climb to a summit near the 3 mile mark, a ridge segment of about one mile, and a winding descent down the east side of the mesa. After the descent runners encounter a relatively flat straightaway with hay bales, and the final on-course challenge is located roughly one kilometer from the finish where a portion of pumpkin pie is offered. Specific challenges:
- Egg Nog Chug: optional 5 oz eggnog at the summit (offered to 10k and half entrants); participants who chug are entered to win a pair of shoes.
- Hay Bale Hop: hay bale obstacles on parts of the 5k, 10k, and half courses.
- Fill Your Pie Hole: pie offered to all distances.
Additional information
Half marathon finishers receive a commemorative mug. All participants in 2025 received a heavy weight brown hooded sweatshirt (adult unisex). The event partners with Community Table for donations and runs a race day food drive. The race is an official BolderBoulder qualifier.
