Turkey Trek - Arvada
The Turkey Trek is a themed running event on 11/21/2026 at Ralston Creek Trail at Long Lake Ranch Park in Arvada, Colorado. The event offers multiple distances and optional on-course holiday challenges.
Distances offered:
- 13.1 miles Half Turkey includes all three challenges and a finisher mug.
- 10K course includes summit climb, eggnog chug, ridge, hay bale, and pumpkin pie.
- 5K includes hay bale hop and pumpkin pie challenges.
- 2K includes the pumpkin pie challenge only.
The 10K course rises to a summit at mile 3 where participants may take an optional 5 oz eggnog chug that also earns an entry to win running shoes. After the summit there is approximately one mile along the ridge, followed by a descent on the east side. On the return, hay bales are placed on a flat straightaway and a pumpkin pie stop is located about one kilometer from the finish.
The 5K follows a shorter route that includes the hay bale hop and the pumpkin pie challenge. The 2K route provides a brief course with the pumpkin pie challenge. Challenges are described as optional and occur on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
