Turkey Trek - Arvada
The Turkey Trek is a set of trail events held on November 21, 2026 at Long Lake Regional Park in Arvada, Colorado. The event offers multiple distances and a course with several on course, holiday themed challenges.

The course includes a steady uphill climb to a summit located near the three mile mark, a roughly one mile ridge section, and a winding descent down the east side of a mesa. After the descent runners encounter a relatively flat straightaway that is arranged with hay bales for a hay bale hop challenge. The loop continues clockwise back into the park and features a final challenge about one kilometer from the finish where participants can eat a portion of pumpkin pie.
Specific on course challenges include an optional Egg Nog Chug where racers may drink 5 oz of eggnog; participants who choose to chug are entered into a prize drawing. The Half Turkey visits the same challenges offered on the 10k course and extends mileage to the 13.1 mile distance. Half marathon finishers receive a commemorative mug.
Event materials list a performance blend heavy weight brown hooded sweatshirt for participants. The event partners with Community Table for charity donations and runs a race day food drive; donations collected through registration are directed to that local food bank.
