Boston Half
The Boston Half presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund is a half marathon held in Boston on November 8, 2026. The event begins and ends in Franklin Park and follows the Emerald Necklace Park System, passing the Riverway, Jamaicaway, Arborway, Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Pond, Willow Pond, and Olmsted Park.
The field is set for 9,000 participants. General registration reached capacity; additional entries are available through Team Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The published entry fee is $110. Entrants must be at least 14 years old on race day. Entries are non-transferrable, non-deferrable, and non-refundable.
Event services and race-day logistics described include participant shirts distributed at Franklin Park, a unicorn finisher medal, gear check using the provided plastic bag, and bib distribution methods where U.S. residents receive bibs by mail and international residents may claim bibs at Athlete Services. A timing and scoring tag is affixed to the back of the bib and net times are recorded. To be scored, the tag must remain intact.
On course there are Poland Spring water stations, Lemon Lime Gatorade Endurance, and Maurten. Portable toilets will be located near the start/finish area and along the route. Medical personnel will be on site. Prohibited items include strollers, in-line skates, skateboards, and animals. Shuttles are provided race morning from Copley Square and Forest Hills MBTA station with a rideshare drop-off at 168 Seaver Street. A Lactation Tent will be available in the Start/Finish area.
