Boston Half
The Boston Half presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund is a B.A.A. half marathon scheduled for November 8, 2026. The race will host about 9,000 participants and registration opens July 8, 2026 in the B.A.A. Athletes' Village. The entry fee is $110 and entries are non-transferrable, non-deferrable, and non-refundable. Entrants must be at least 14 years old on race day.
The course begins and ends in Franklin Park and follows the Emerald Necklace Park System, including Riverway, Jamaicaway, and Arborway. The route passes Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Pond, Willow Pond, and Olmsted Park.
Event services include mailed bibs for U.S. residents and on site bib pickup for international residents at the Athlete Services Tent. The timing and scoring device is affixed to the back of the bib and net times will be recorded. Hydration on course will include Poland Spring natural spring water, Lemon Lime Gatorade Endurance Formula, and Maurten products. Portable toilets will be placed near the start, finish, and along the course. Medical personnel will be on site for emergency care.
Additional race amenities and policies: an adidas participant shirt, a unicorn finisher medal, a Shirt Distribution Tent in Franklin Park, a gear check using the provided plastic bag, and a Lactation Tent with two enclosed spaces and basic furnishings. There is no parking available in Franklin Park and shuttle transportation and drop off on Seaver Street are provided race morning.
