Boston Half presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund
The Boston Half is a half marathon held on November 8, 2026, that starts and finishes in Franklin Park and runs along the Emerald Necklace Park System. The course passes Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Pond, Willow Pond, Olmsted Park, the Riverway, Jamaicaway, and Arborway.
The field is set at about 9,000 participants. Entrants must be at least 14 years old on race day. Registration opens July 8, 2026 within the B.A.A. online platform Athletes' Village. The entry fee is $110. All athletes receive an adidas participant shirt and a unicorn finisher medal. Entries are non-transferrable, non-deferrable, and non-refundable.
Logistics and athlete services include mailed bib numbers for U.S. residents and on-site bib claim for international residents at the Athlete Services Tent. A timing and scoring tag is affixed to the back of the bib and must remain intact for official timing. Gear check is available near the start area using the provided plastic bag and the gear check tag on the bib.
Race-day support includes fluid stations with Poland Spring water, Lemon Lime Gatorade Endurance Formula, and Maurten, portable toilets, on-site medical personnel, and MarathonFoto race photography. A Lactation Tent in the start and finish area provides enclosed, equipped spaces for pumping and breastfeeding. Shuttles run from Copley Square and Forest Hills to Seaver Street outside Franklin Park. No parking is available in Franklin Park. Prohibited items include strollers, in-line skates, skateboards, and animals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
