Boston Bakery Crawl
The Boston Bakery Crawl is an unsanctioned social run of 16.1 km (10 mile) through Boston and Cambridge, organized by Boston Road Runners. The event starts and finishes at Dick's Sporting Goods on Boylston Street in Back Bay and follows a planned route through Back Bay, Commonwealth Avenue, Allston, the South End, Cambridge, and back to Back Bay.
Along the route runners stop at four independent bakeries to pick up a pre-arranged item, take a short break, and continue. The bakery stops are Sofra Bakery & Cafe in Allston, Greystone Cafe in the South End, Colette Bakery in the South End, and Flour Bakery + Cafe in Harvard Square, Cambridge.
Every registered runner receives a custom numbered race bib that serves as the check-in credential at each stop. A bag drop is available at the start. One Boston Road Runners ambassador will be stationed at each bakery to manage flow and mark bibs. The event takes place on sidewalks and paths; there are no road closures and no city permits are required. All registered participants must sign a digital waiver at registration. A minimum pace of 10 minutes per mile is enforced. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
