Event Details
The Boos & Brews 5K is a Halloween-themed event scheduled for October 24, 2026, in Baldwinsville, New York. Due to previous sell-outs, there are two separate in-person start waves, each limited to 250 participants. Registration options include these two in-person starts and a virtual event. Costumes are encouraged. The event concludes with a post-race party at WT Brews, featuring beer specials, homemade Halloween cookies, and "Ghoulash."
Participant Items and Course
Registered participants receive a custom long-sleeve shirt, a finisher medal, a custom bib, and a finisher certificate. The event uses chip timing. The 5 km course is described as very flat, combining roads, paved trails, and wooded trails along the Seneca River into Lions Community Park and back.
Awards and Charity
Awards are given for overall, masters overall, and age group categories. A separate costume contest has prizes for best, most unique/creative, and scariest costumes. The event benefits Baldwinsville Meals on Wheels. Packet pickup is available on the Wednesday before the race in Syracuse and on race day at the venue.
