Bolt Round the Holt
Bolt Round the Holt takes place on Sunday 26 April 2026 at Alice Holt Forest, Bucks Horn Oak, Farnham GU10 4LS. The event is organised as a charity trail race that raises funds for GUTS, a programme that supports earlier detection and improved treatment for bowel cancer.
The event offers the following race distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
- Junior 1k
The course follows forest trails through Alice Holt Forest and is described as undulating. The 5k route forms the base loop: 5k runners complete a single lap, 10k runners complete two laps, and the half marathon follows an extended 5k loop for four laps. Route maps and GPX files are available from the organiser.
GUTS stands for Guildford Undetected Tumour Screening. The event materials note bowel cancer statistics and state that the charity has raised nearly £100,000 since the race began. GUTS uses funds to support early detection, fund equipment, raise awareness, improve care facilities and support research.
Entries on race day are subject to availability. On-the-day entry fees listed by the organiser are: Half Marathon £40, 10k £30, 5k £25 and Junior Run £7. Participants receive a bespoke medal and leading runners can receive trophies and prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
