Boise Front Trail Festival
The Boise Front Trail Festival is a two-day trail running event at Bogus Basin near Boise, Idaho, held July 31 - August 1, 2026. The festival includes an uphill Hill Climb and trail races at multiple distances. Race proceeds are donated to Ridge to Rivers, and the event promotes responsible use of the local trail system.
Distances include:
- Hill Climb (uphill challenge finishing at Shafer Butte summit)
- 5 mile race (trail race based at Frontier Nordic Lodge)
- 10 mile race (trail race based at Frontier Nordic Lodge and the USATF Snake River Regional Trail Championship)
Packet pickup is available in advance at Fleet Feet Meridian and Fleet Feet Nampa, with limited race day pickup at the start/finish area. Parking is provided at Bogus Basin Frontier Point Lodge parking lots with volunteers directing vehicles. Bathrooms are available at the start/finish area via the Frontier Point Lodge and portable restrooms.
Awards include cash for overall top finishers and additional age group prizes. Prize money is noted for top places and the 10 mile race awards top male and female finishers as part of the regional championship. The event also supports a Youth Trail Initiative and offers a youth discount for participating athletes aged 14 to 18. Course maps are provided and 2026 courses are subject to change.
