Boise Front Trail Festival
The Boise Front Trail Festival is a two-day trail running event held at Bogus Basin in Boise, Idaho. The festival includes an uphill Hill Climb on the first day and longer trail races the following day. Proceeds from the event are donated to Ridge to Rivers to support local trails and trail stewardship.
Race offerings for 2026 include:
- Hill Climb uphill 2 mile
- 5 mile trail race
- 10 mile trail race
The Hill Climb finishes at the summit of Shafer Butte; participants are guided on routes for descent and are expected to descend under their own control. Runners start and finish at Bogus Basin’s Frontier Nordic Lodge for the 5 and 10 mile races. Packet pickup is available in advance at Fleet Feet locations in Meridian and Nampa, with limited race day pickup at the start/finish area. Parking is provided at the Bogus Basin Frontier Point Lodge parking lots, with volunteers directing vehicles on race day.
Prize money is awarded to the top three overall finishers and there are age group prizes. The festival also participates in a Youth Trail Initiative and offers a 15% discount to youth athletes. Course maps and past results are maintained for reference; 2026 courses are subject to change. Bathrooms are available at the lodge and via portable restrooms.
