The event takes place at Wasdale Head, West Cumbria (CA20 1EX), on Saturday 10th October 2026. The course climbs to the summit of Kirk Fell and includes a steep ascent and descent.
The race distance is 2.40 miles / 3.80 km with approximately 2300 feet / 700 meters of climb. It counts as a BOFRA Championship counter. A race map and a race profile are not available.
Age categories for the race are Under 12, Under 14, Under 17 and Seniors; there is no Under 9s category. Grid reference 187089 and What Three Words ///slopes.reaction.diggers are provided for location.
Kit requirements are enforced. For Under 12 and Under 14 competitors a waterproof jacket with taped seams is compulsory. For Under 17 and Senior competitors a waterproof jacket and trousers with taped seams are compulsory; hat and gloves are also required. No kit means no race; fluorescent jackets without taped seams are not acceptable.
