Event Overview
The Candy Cane Course is a holiday-themed running event held in Toledo, Ohio. This family-oriented gathering features several participation options on the road and a virtual alternative for those unable to attend in person. Participants can choose from multiple distances based on their preference:
- 50m Kids Dash (untimed for children ages 10 and under)
- 1 Mile (untimed)
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 10k (6.2 miles)
- 15k (9.3 miles)
The 5k, 10k, and 15k races utilize chip-timing to provide live results and categorical awards. Registration for these distances, as well as the 1 Mile walk or run, includes a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. For the Kids Dash, participants receive a youth-sized shirt, a mini bib, and a specially crafted medal, though children may also participate in the dash for free if they do not require the commemorative items.
Participants in the in-person events have access to free event photos and treats at the finish line. There is also an option to volunteer at the event before participating in a race. Registration for the 5k and 10k categories features reduced pricing for participants aged 12 and under. To guarantee a specific shirt size, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday falling ten days before the event date.
