May The Fourth Be With You 4k
The May The Fourth Be With You event takes place at Covered Bridge Park in Elizabethton, Tennessee. This themed athletic gathering is designed for enthusiasts of the Star Wars franchise and families. The event features multiple participation options to accommodate different ages and preferences:
- 4k Run/Walk
- Darth Dash (ages 5-9)
- Virtual option
The 4k course is marked with red indicators and supported by arrow signs, volunteers, and police officers to assist with navigation. Participants in the 4k and Darth Dash receive a themed t-shirt and a medal. The first 100 registered individuals also receive a light saber. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for those who register by April 15.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in the 4k, as well as the top performers in the masters and grandmasters categories. Performance awards are also distributed across several age groups, starting from ages 10-14 up to 60 and older. For the Darth Dash, the top three boys and top three girls receive recognition. Additionally, a costume contest is held with awards for the best male, female, boy, and girl costumes.
