Overview
The Mercy Health Glass City Marathon weekend takes place April 25-26, 2026 in Toledo, Ohio, centered at the University of Toledo. Event types include a full marathon, half marathon, 5-person marathon relay, a 5K run/walk, a kids run for ages 2 to 12, and virtual race options. The marathon is a USATF certified, one-loop course that finishes on the field inside the Glass Bowl stadium. Organizers state that over a third of the marathon field have achieved Boston Marathon qualifying times in past editions.
Courses and logistics
The marathon course departs from the university area, passes Ottawa Park and the Ottawa Hills neighborhood, uses the University Parks bike trail, travels through Wildwood Metropark and Sylvania, and returns to finish inside the Glass Bowl stadium. The course description notes little elevation change and smooth paved roads. Relay teams receive a single timing chip to hand off in designated exchange zones. Virtual participants may complete their registered distance on their own timeline during a designated post-race window.
Entries, limits and extras
Field limits are listed for several events (marathon 1,500; half marathon 2,500; relay teams 200; 5K 1,500).
