Mercy Health Glass City Marathon - Toledo, Ohio
The Mercy Health Glass City Marathon takes place over a weekend in late April 2026 at the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio. The event is organized by the Toledo Roadrunners Club with Mercy Health as a presenting partner. The marathon uses a one-loop, 26.2 mile course that runs from the university through nearby neighborhoods, the University Parks Trail, Wildwood Metropark and Sylvania, and concludes with a finish on the field inside the Glass Bowl Stadium. The course is described as having little elevation change and mostly smooth paved roads.
Race options span the weekend and include in-person and virtual formats for a range of distances. The event is a USATF certified course and a sanctioned race that permits Olympic Trials qualifying performances. The Glass City Marathon has served as an RRCA championship event and is noted as an Abbott World Marathon Majors age group qualifier.
Field limits are published for several events: the marathon field limit is 1,500, the half marathon 2,500, the 5K 1,500, and the relay team limit 200. Additional race services include a multi-day expo and a training program led by Dave’s Running Shop. First time marathon participants have a dedicated perks package and Mercy Health provides medical and recovery resources linked to the event.
