Mercy Health Glass City Marathon
The Mercy Health Glass City Marathon is a springtime road race in Toledo organized by the Toledo Roadrunners Club, a nonprofit founded in 1976. The event is the club's premier springtime race and marks a 50th anniversary date on April 25, 2027.
The course is described as fast and flat and is listed among top Boston Marathon qualifier courses. The event has hosted notable performances, including the 4th fastest American marathon, the fastest debut marathon by an American, and the fastest marathon ever run on Ohio soil with a recorded time of 2:05:54.21 in 2026. The field has also produced Olympic Marathon Trials qualifiers, including a qualifying time of 2:36:59.67 in 2026. In 2023 the race served as a Road Runners Club of America Championship Event.
Race programming covers multiple distances and support services. Mercy Health continues as a sponsor into 2025 and beyond and provides medical teams and running specialists for participants. The event offers resources such as course maps, official pacers, training information, an expo with packet pickup, live tracking and official results, awards and prize money, volunteer opportunities, and community fundraising options.
