Hometown Half Marathon & 5k/10k : Sioux City
The Hometown Half Marathon & 5k/10k is scheduled for 05/16/2026 at 500 Larsen Park Rd, Sioux City, IA 51103. The event includes multiple in-person race options plus a virtual race option with mailed race packets.
Distances offered:
- Kid's Dash - 50 m, ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile - untimed
- 5K - 3.1 miles
- 10K - 6.2 miles
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles
- Volunteer Then Run - volunteers assist then run any distance
- Virtual Run - run any day at any location
Many race entries include a custom bib, a designer event shirt, and a finisher medal. The kid's dash provides a mini bib and a youth-sized shirt; children may also run without race swag for no fee. The 5K, 10K, and half marathon use chip timing with live results and awards. Pacers are provided for the half marathon. Event photography is available and there are treats at the finish line.
Virtual participants receive a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and shipping for their packet; mailed packets ship the Wednesday after the event. Participants who want to guarantee a shirt should register by midnight on Thursday two Thursdays before the race. Youth pricing for the 5K and 10K is 12 and under for $17.
