Mount Lucia Trail Race
Mount Lucia Trail Race is held at the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center in Sioux City, Iowa, on October 3, 2026. The event offers trail options for adults and a separate kids event for participants 12 and under.

Packets will be available at Peak Performance on Friday, October 2, and on race morning at the venue. Registration is handled through Ultrasignup.com; the listed entry fee is $40 plus Ultrasignup fees until the registration cutoff, and race day registration may be available depending on numbers.
The course starts from the Nature Center parking area and uses both Nature Center and Stone State Park trails. Trails are mostly double track with surfaces that include dirt, woodchip, and gravel. The route passes through deciduous forest, remnant prairie ridge tops, and steep valleys, with nearly 700 feet of elevation gain over 5 miles. As a trail event, footing may be uneven and include rocks, roots, acorns, and sticks; organizers will attempt to clear debris. The course will be marked with signs, flags, and ropes.
Awards include custom trophies for the top three overall and medals for the top three in each age group: 29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. While supplies last, 5 Mile participants receive a custom race logo mug from a local potter. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
