Candy Cane Course - Greater Chicago
The Candy Cane Course takes place on 12 December 2026 at Busse Woods Shelter 25 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The event offers in-person and virtual options across multiple distances.
The event program includes the following distances and formats:
- Kids Dash - 50 m, ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile - untimed, includes a custom bib, designer shirt, finisher medal
- 5K - 3.1 Miles
- 10K - 6.2 Miles
- 15K - 9.3 Miles
- Virtual Race - run anywhere option
Registration for the 5K, 10K, and 15K includes a custom bib, designer shirt, and a finisher medal. The 1 Mile entry is untimed and also includes a custom bib, designer shirt, and finisher medal. The Kids Dash registration includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a medal created for the kids' dash.
Event services listed include chip timing with live results and awards, free photos, and refreshments at the finish area. Youth pricing is available for the 5K and 10K; entries for ages 12 and under are listed at $22. A Volunteer then Run option asks volunteers to arrive 30 minutes before packet pickup to assist; volunteers may then run any distance of their choice.
