Heatwave Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and family events in Rochester
The event takes place in Rochester, MN on July 11, 2027 and includes several in-person and virtual options. Race entries include event apparel and finisher medals for most distances, chip timing and awards for timed races, and free photos. The finish area includes free ice cream for participants.
Distances and formats:
- Kids Dash: 50 m for ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile: untimed one mile run
- 5K: timed 5 kilometer race with chip timing
- 10K: timed 10 kilometer race with chip timing
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles
- Virtual Race: run any day at any location, packet mailed
- Volunteer Then Run: volunteer before racing; then run any distance
- Running Buddy Half Marathon: requires prior application and approval
Notes on entries and services: Youth pricing of $17 applies for ages 12 and under for the 5K and 10K. Most race registrations include a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal. Virtual entries receive a digital bib, a mailed packet with shirt and medal, and shipping; packets ship the Wednesday after the race. Participants can upload finish times starting the day of the event and may upload photos to the participant album.
