Halloween-Themed Running Event in Rochester
The Spooky Sprint is a Halloween-themed running event held at Cascade Lake Park and Zumbro West Park in Rochester, Minnesota. This annual event offers a variety of distances suitable for different interests and age groups, including options for children and long-distance runners.
Participants can choose from several individual distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10k (6.2 miles)
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile (untimed)
- Kids Dash (50m, untimed, for ages 10 and under)
Registration for the timed events includes chip-timing with live results and awards. All registered participants receive a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. To guarantee a shirt, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday two weeks before race day. Free photos are provided during the event, and treats are available at the finish line.
The event also features a virtual race option for those unable to attend in person, allowing participants to earn medals and shirts by running at their own chosen location. Specialized registration options exist for volunteers who wish to help with packet pickup before running their chosen distance, and for approved Running Buddies.
