The event is chip timed and includes both competitive and fun run categories. The half marathon is USATF certified (MN23008JHP). Courses are almost entirely on paved paths and include gentle rolling hills; part of the route runs along the Bear Creek Trail. Course time limits are published for each distance.
Finish line provisions and event gear include a 2026 finisher mug, a runner’s choice of a classic t-shirt or an upgraded thin-tec 1/4 zip, hot apple cider, and caramel apples. Half marathon finishers receive a finisher medal; 5K and 10K finisher medals are available as an add-on. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall and in age groups for chip-timed categories; participants must be present on event day to receive medals.
Packet pickup options include mailed packets for a fee and pre-event pickup at a local business.
