Event Overview
The Treat Trot Greater Chicago takes place at Waubonsie Lake Park in Aurora. This multisport event offers a variety of distances to accommodate different preferences and includes both timed and untimed options. The courses utilize local park paths, and participants for longer distances complete multiple laps of the established route.
Distances and Categories
Participants can choose from several event formats:
- 15K (3 laps)
- 10K (2 laps)
- 5K
- 1 Mile (untimed)
- Kids Dash (untimed, for ages 10 and under)
- Virtual Race (allows participation from any location)
Participant Amenities and Awards
Every registered participant receives a designer shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a custom bib. The 5K, 10K, and 15K events are chip-timed with live results. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners, masters winners (ages 40+), and the top three finishers in various age groups ranging from 10 and under to 80 and over.
Logistics
Packet pickup is conducted on-site starting 90 minutes before the first event. Finish line snacks and free photos are provided to all participants. The event proceeds regardless of rain, snow, or cold weather, and a strict no-refund policy is in effect.
