Swedish Days Lopp
Swedish Days Lopp is a community 5K run/walk scheduled for June 27, 2026 at Gunnar Anderson Forest Preserve, 719 South Batavia Avenue, Geneva, IL. The event is presented by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and is part of the wider Swedish Days Festival held June 24–28, 2026.
Event services include packet pick up on the pre-race day at Dick Pond Athletics, 303 N. Second Street, St. Charles. Race day packet pick up and on-site registration are offered at the preserve. A separate Kids Dash for age 10 and under is included; all children in the Kids Dash receive a Viking helmet and a finisher's medal but do not receive a race shirt. Viking helmets are also available for purchase.
Awards are presented to first place overall male and female, as well as in age groups for male and female competitors: 10 & under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 & over. The Swedish Days Festival accompanying the event highlights local heritage and features a craft beer tent, a carnival, a Kids’ Day, nightly entertainment, a parade, merchant sales and food stands offering Swedish and American menus.
