Event Overview
The Heatwave Half Marathon in Little Rock features a variety of road running events held during the summer season. The event provides multiple distance options for participants, ranging from a short sprint for children to a half marathon. Ice cream is provided at the finish line for participants to cool off after their race.
Race Categories
A wide selection of distances is available to accommodate different preferences:
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles
- Half Marathon Relay: 13.1 miles (teams of any size)
- 10K: 10 km
- 5K: 5 km
- 1 Mile: 1 mile (untimed)
- Kids Dash: 50 meters (untimed, for ages 10 and under)
The 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon events utilize chip-timing with live results and awards. The 1 Mile and Kids Dash are untimed events. For the half marathon relay, each team member must register individually before forming a team.
Participant Information
Registered participants receive a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. To guarantee a shirt in a specific size, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday two weeks before the event. Free photos are provided to all runners. Children aged 10 and under may participate in the Kids Dash for free if they do not require the shirt or medal.
