About the race
The H2GO 2 Miler Fun Run takes place in Jacksonville, AR on July 31, 2027, at LRAFB University Park Center, 1490 Vandenburg Blvd. The event offers a two-mile running option and a walking-only option along a mapped course. The course features volunteers stationed along the route who use water guns and water cannons to help participants cope with heat; participants should expect to get wet. Every participant receives a participant bag and a commemorative t-shirt; shirts are guaranteed only to those registered by July 17, 2027.
Race day registration is available. Awards include Top 3 overall female and male finishers, Top 5 overall walkers, and age-group awards in ten-year increments. Door prizes are also offered. Funds raised at the event support Alzheimer’s Arkansas, an organization that provides education, support, and financial assistance to Arkansas caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. The venue is near a large airplane visible from the interstate and is not located on the military base. The address is provided for location and directions.
