H2GORUN 2 Miler Fun Run
The H2GORUN 2 Miler Fun Run is a charitable sports event located in Jacksonville, Arkansas. The course spans a distance of 2 miles and takes place at the LRAFB University Park Center. While situated near the Little Rock Air Force Base, the event is held off-base near the stationary airplane visible from the interstate.
The event features a wet environment where volunteers use water guns and water cannons to spray participants as they navigate the route to mitigate high temperatures. Runners are encouraged to wear clothing suitable for getting wet. Every participant receives a bag and a t-shirt, though shirt availability is only guaranteed for those who register by July 12th. Packet pickup and registration are available on the morning of the run.
Recognition is provided for several categories, including the top three overall male and female participants, top walkers, and various age group winners in five-year increments. Proceeds from the registration fees support Alzheimer's Arkansas, an organization providing financial assistance, education, and support to caregivers of individuals living with dementia and Alzheimer's disease within the state.
