Event Overview
The Treat Trot Wichita is a community running event held at Lake Afton in Goddard, Kansas. This event features a variety of distance options to accommodate different preferences, including timed races and untimed fun runs. Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 15K
- 1 Mile
- Kids Dash
The 5K, 10K, and 15K events are chip-timed, providing runners with live results and eligibility for awards. The 1 Mile and Kids Dash are untimed events. The Kids Dash is specifically designed for participants aged 10 and under, though children may participate for free if they do not require event materials. A unique Volunteer then Run option is also available, allowing individuals to assist with event logistics before participating in a distance of their choice.
Registered participants receive a designer shirt, a custom finisher medal, and access to free digital photos from the event. Snacks are provided at the finish line for all runners. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual race option is offered, allowing participants to complete their chosen distance at any location and receive their medal and shirt by mail.
