Hometown Half Marathon & 5k/10k - Grand Rapids
The Hometown Half Marathon & 5k/10k - Grand Rapids is a family-oriented running event held at Caledonia High School. The event features a variety of distances to accommodate different participants, including:
- Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
- 1 Mile (untimed)
- Kid's Dash (untimed, for ages 10 and under)
The Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k events are chip-timed with live results available immediately after finishing. These distances also feature age group awards for various categories, including overall male and female, masters (40+), and three deep in age brackets ranging from 10 and under to 80+. Pacers are provided for the Half Marathon participants.
Participants receive a designer shirt, a custom finisher medal, and a custom bib. Registration for the 5k and 10k includes youth-based pricing for children aged 12 and under. The Kid's Dash includes a youth-sized shirt and a specific medal. Free photos are provided to all participants, and snacks are available at the finish line.
A virtual race option is available for those unable to attend in person. This allows participants to run at a location of their choice and receive the event swag, including the medal and shirt, via mail.
