Irish Jig 5K - Overview

The Irish Jig 5K takes place in Grand Rapids, Michigan during the week of March 8 to March 15, 2026. The event includes a 5K, a Kids Gold Ribbon Run, and a Jig Virtual option. The in-person 5K has an entry fee of $35; the Kids Gold Ribbon Run is free to register, with an optional $25 commemorative shirt. The Jig Virtual registration closes on March 7, 2026 and includes a mailed shirt sent on race weekend.

Participation, logistics and course

Packet pick-up is scheduled at two locations: Corewell Health Sports Medicine Center (2770 E. Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525) on Friday, and East Grand Rapids High School Gym (2211 Lake Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506) on Saturday. The Kids Gold Ribbon Run will be held on the East Grand Rapids track, where children will be grouped by age and complete one lap. The organizers plan the 2026 course to be similar to the 2025 route and are working with the City of East Grand Rapids. The course carries USATF certification MI24002MN.
