Irish Jig 5K

The Irish Jig takes place in Grand Rapids, Michigan on March 19 and 20, 2027 at 2211 Lake Dr SE. The event has been held for more than 40 years and the 2027 edition includes in-person and virtual options. The program combines road running with community fundraising.

Registration opens September 1, 2026. Listed registration closing dates and fees are: 5K registration closes March 21, 2027, fee $30; Kids Gold Ribbon Run registration closes March 20, 2027, fee $15; Jig Virtual registration closes March 14, 2027, fee $30. Virtual participants will receive a shirt mailed out race weekend.

Walking is allowed on the 5K course; walkers must begin after the runners and complete the route within 75 minutes. The 2027 event directs fundraising and support toward cancer research and care through Corewell Health and Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
