Event overview
The Irish Jig 5K is scheduled in Grand Rapids, MI, during the week of March 8 to March 15, 2026, with the main 5K event on March 14. The event year includes three participation options: a 5K road race, a Kids Gold Ribbon Run on the East Grand Rapids track, and a Jig Virtual option. The 5K entry fee is listed at $35; the Kids Gold Ribbon Run has free registration with an optional commemorative shirt for $25. The Jig Virtual option also has a fee and closes registration before the in-person event. Proceeds support cancer research and care through Corewell Health and Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and support pediatric cancer programs.
Logistics and course
Packet pick-up is offered at two locations: Corewell Health Sports Medicine Center (2770 E. Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525) and East Grand Rapids High School Gym (2211 Lake Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506). The Kids Gold Ribbon Run will use the East Grand Rapids track and will divide participants into age groups for one lap. Virtual participants can complete their activity during the week of March 9 and will receive a mailed shirt on race weekend.
