Events
The Irish Jig 5K offers several events.
- 5K - Registration costs $40.
- Kids Gold Ribbon Run - This is a free event for children. It takes place on the East Grand Rapids Track. Participants are grouped by age and run one lap.
- Jig Virtual - A virtual participation option costing $35. Registration closes on March 7th.
Location and Schedule
The main event takes place in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The address for packet pickup and events is 2211 Lake Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506, at East Grand Rapids High School Gym.
Packet pickup is available on Friday at Corewell Health Sports Medicine Center from noon to 5:30 PM, and on Saturday at the East Grand Rapids High School Gym from 6:00 AM to 9:15 AM. The 5K awards ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 AM in the gym.
Purpose and Background
The event has been held for over 40 years. Funds raised support cancer research and care through Corewell Health and Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. The Kids Gold Ribbon Run specifically supports pediatric cancer programs.
Additional Information
A commemorative shirt is available for the Kids Gold Ribbon Run for $25. The deadline to order an event shirt is February 22, 2026. The 5K course is USATF certified (MI24002MN).
