Bob's Big Timber Backyard Ultra
Bob's Big Timber Backyard Ultra is a Backyard Ultra held on a multi‑generation family tree farm in Glenmont, Ohio. The event follows the Backyard Ultra format: competitors run repeated laps of 6706 meters (4.167 miles) and must complete each lap in less than one hour to continue.
The course uses two distinct loops. The daytime loop runs through large, protected hardwoods and softwood leaf cover and includes about 220 feet of climb per lap. The night loop follows a dirt and gravel road segment to the Home Farm and then grass, with about 120 feet of climb per lap. Course surfaces are listed as grass, hardwood and softwood leaf matter for the day loop, and gravel road plus grass for the night loop.
The venue is a tree farm with documented conservation and stewardship recognition at local, state, and national levels. Historic farm features encountered near the night loop include a pre-Civil War log cabin and an old bank barn that reflect the property’s long family history dating back to 1889.
