58:12 Global Run for Rescue
The 58:12 Global Run for Rescue is a community athletic event held in Millersburg, Ohio. The race takes place at 5850 CR 77 in Holmes County. This event serves as a fundraiser for 58:12 Rescue, a local shelter that provides housing and services for women and children who have experienced domestic violence.
Participants can choose between two different distances:
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Family Run/Walk
The organization has operated since 2014 and has provided support to over 500 individuals. Funds gathered through this event are allocated toward various operational costs of the shelter, including professional counseling fees for residents. The shelter provides a range of services to its residents, such as mentoring, meals, clothing, and customized support plans to assist with healing and goal setting.
Registration for both distances opens in mid-March. Participants who complete their registration by May 7 are eligible to receive an event T-shirt.
