WVU Hospitals East Foundation Bob Baronner Apple Trample 5K
The WVU Hospitals East Foundation Bob Baronner Apple Trample 5K is held on October 17, 2026 in Martinsburg, West Virginia as part of the Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival. The event starts and finishes at War Memorial Park on Tennessee Avenue and includes a post-race celebration featuring local apples and other refreshments.
The course begins at War Memorial Park, runs through a neighborhood section, turns left onto King Street to follow the Apple Harvest Parade route, then left on Maple Avenue, right on Burke Street and right on Queen Street. Participants turn around at the corner of Queen and Stephen Street and return to the park.
The event distance is 3.1 Miles and all runners and walkers will be timed. Registration opens April 13, 2026 and closes October 4, 2026. The listed registration fee is $35.00 with a $15 discount for pre-teens automatically applied. Packet pickup and race day registration take place at War Memorial Park on race morning.
Awards include overall top male and female finishers (overall winners are excluded from age group awards) and first through third place for male and female runners in these age groups: under 9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and over 70. A youth who participates from a stroller will not be timed or eligible for awards.
