About the race
Lehigh Valley Turkey Trot is a community road race held on November 21, 2026 at the Ironton Rail Trail in Coplay, Pennsylvania. The event proceeds rain or shine and offers multiple distances and a combo option. The start and finish are next to the Cement Kilns on the rail trail.
Distances offered:
- 5K run/walk with race t-shirt, finisher medal and running socks.
- 10K run/walk with race t-shirt, finisher medal and running socks.
- Half Marathon with race t-shirt, finisher medal and running socks.
- Combo 5K & 10K includes t-shirt, medal, socks and a Combo Platter plaque.
The half marathon is composed of two laps of the loop that measures 6.55 miles when the out-and-back spur is included; the base loop is described as 5.25 miles before the spur. The 10K follows the same loop with a shorter spur to reach about 6.2 miles. The course is on asphalt and generally flat; the low point is 365 feet and the high point is 389 feet, with 184 feet of elevation gain per 6.55 mile loop and one section rising about 30 feet in 0.3 mile. Aid stations with water and Gatorade are positioned roughly every two miles.
Amenities include a medal and lanyard, race t-shirt, running ankle socks, live online and text results, and free finish line photos. Bib pickup is available before the event and on race day; a bib number is required for pickup. Awards are distributed by overall and age group categories for the listed distances.
