BMR Sacramento Black History Month Family 5k Walk/Run
Black Men Run Sacramento presents the 4th annual Black History Month Family 5k Walk/Run on February 27, 2027, at 1790 Expo Parkway, Sacramento, CA. The course starts and ends at REI Sacramento.
The primary distance is 5K. Participants may choose to complete a shorter distance if they prefer. The event includes a virtual option for those who are not in Sacramento or cannot attend in person; virtual participants may walk or run a distance of their choice.
The event's stated mission is to encourage healthy lifestyles within the Black community by promoting physical activity such as running and walking and by fostering connections with BIPOC organizations that work to improve health outcomes. Organizers describe the event as creating a new standard for generations to follow and refer to this as generational health.
Registration opens October 1, 2026 and closes January 1, 2027. The registration fee is $20. Net proceeds are designated for the Roberts Family Development Center. Free medals are provided while supplies last.
