Course and Distances

The run covers sections of the Ultra Trail Australia (UTA) course. The primary route is a loop starting and finishing at Queen Victoria Hospital (QVH), covering parts of the UTA50 and UTA100 courses, including Kedumba, Fern Bower, and stairs around Wentworth Falls. Participants have distance options:

  • A 34km to 45+km loop.
  • A 20km option finishing at Gordon Falls. The 20km option follows the Kedumba section of the UTA22 course for 17km before branching off. The event is described as a guided training run.

Event Details

The run is designed as preparation for Ultra Trail Australia, with a focus on race day simulation. Participants are asked to bring their UTA50/100 mandatory gear. Organizers provide experienced run trainers who will discuss race strategy, gear, nutrition, and pacing. Pace groups are available: "The Mighty Turtles," a "Mid Paced" group, and "Speedy Hares." The estimated finish time is 5 to 7 hours. The minimum participant age is 16.

Logistics and Fees

The start location is Queen Victoria Hospital. There are staggered start times for different pace groups beginning from 6:45 AM. Transport is provided for 20km runners to the start. The event is licensed with National Parks and Wildlife. Fees are $90 for the full course and $85 for the 20km option, inclusive of booking fees, National Park fees, and transport if required.
