Bluff Land Triathlon
The Bluff Land Triathlon is held at Creekside Park in the Rushford Peterson Valley and is hosted by the Foundation of Rushford-Peterson Schools. The event is an annual fundraiser that provides scholarships for Rushford-Peterson High School seniors.
Participants range from experienced triathletes to individuals attempting their first triathlon. Ages represented include pre-teen participants through senior citizens. Families and friends often participate together. Volunteers are spaced along the course to assist and encourage participants and are present at the finish to support every competitor.
The course consists of three segments: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
- 3.1 mile run starting at Creekside toward Houston on the Root River Trail and back.
- 15.5 mile bike starting at Creekside past Peterson on the Root River Trail and back.
- 2.1 mile hike starting at Creekside to the top of Magelssen Bluff and back down.
