Bluegrass Pug Run 5K
The Bluegrass Pug Run is a 5K running event held at Iroquois Park in Louisville, Kentucky, with the Start/Finish located near the amphitheater and parking available on site. The event benefits Bluegrass Pug Rescue and presents information about the rescue mission, which includes rescuing, rehabilitating, providing medical care and spay or neuter operations for pugs, and placing them in permanent adoptive homes in Kentucky and surrounding areas.
The event welcomes runners, walkers, and dogs on fixed length (no retractable) leashes, and the course follows a paved pedestrian path that can accommodate strollers. The event is cupless; attendees are asked to bring a personal water bottle, hydration pack, or cup.
Packet pickup is onsite near the pavilion before the event. Registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes October 17, 2026. The registration fee is $25.00. Organizers request that attendees plan to arrive early for parking and carpool when possible to reduce impact on the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
