Bluegrass Bourbon 5K
The Bluegrass Bourbon 5K takes place at the historic Elkwood Farm, which serves as the home of Bluegrass Distillers in Midway, Kentucky. This event marks the fifth year of the race and offers participants the opportunity to run or walk through the farm's grounds.
The event features a primary distance:
- 5K Run/Walk (3.1 Miles)
The course is designed as a chip-timed trail and cross-country run, utilizing a mowed grass surface. Participants who traverse the route on-site will pass through the landscape of the historic farm. For those unable to attend the physical location, a virtual option is available for participants located anywhere in the United States.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as winners in age group divisions categorized by five-year increments. Registration for the in-person race includes a commemorative long-sleeved performance tech shirt. Following the completion of the course, participants can take part in a bourbon tasting session, which is included in the registration fee. The event also incorporates live music, food, and photography, including a finish line photo contest. This race supports the Midway History Museum.
