Bluegrass Bourbon 5K
The Bluegrass Bourbon 5K is scheduled for Saturday March 21, 2026 at Elkwood Farm, the home of Bluegrass Distillers in Midway, Kentucky. The event is presented as the race's fifth annual running and offers an on-site trail format through historic farm grounds.
The event includes a 5K Run/Walk, a Virtual Runner/Walker option, and a volunteer role. The course uses mixed surfaces that may include mowed field grass, small gravel, and packed trail, and the course is subject to change. A 5K route map is provided by the organizer.
Post-race features listed by the organizer include a bourbon tasting, commemorative long sleeved performance shirts in men's and women's sizes, overall and age group awards in five year divisions, free race photos and a finish line photo contest, plus food and live music. Overall top three male and female awards are crafted from bourbon barrels, and medals are provided for age group winners.
Packet pickup is scheduled on race day at Elkwood Farm, with permission to collect packets for friends or family members. Proceeds from the event are designated to benefit the Midway History Museum, a nonprofit organization operating a museum and visitors center in Midway City Hall since April 2022.
