About the race
The Blue Stone 5K-9 is a dog-friendly community 5K held as part of the Blue Stone Art and Music Festival at Century East Parking Lot, 6100 Lake Forest Drive in Sandy Springs, GA. The event is an Official Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race qualifier and offers both a running division and several adaptive wheelchair categories.
The event features:
- 3.1 Miles - multiple event categories including running and adaptive wheelchair classes
Registration opens 16 June 2026 and closes 24 September 2026; the fee is $35.00. Registration includes a race t-shirt, finisher medal, goodie bag, water and snacks; t-shirts are guaranteed for entries completed by 28 August 2026 at 4:00 pm and are available after that while supplies last. Packet pick up is available the day before at Century East Parking Lot.
Adaptive hand cycles will be available to borrow in limited numbers through a partnership with Catalyst Sports and Sandy Springs Recreation & Parks; reservations are required to use these cycles. Awards are given for multiple overall, category, and age-group winners; awards will not be mailed and must be collected at the awards table.
Dog policies require a short non-retractable leash no longer than 6 ft and that dogs remain under control. A harness is recommended over a collar. Participants are responsible for their dogs and for cleaning up after them. Service dogs are permitted; dogs are not allowed inside the festival area.
