Blue Stone 5K-9
The Blue Stone 5K-9 is a community 3.1 mile event held during the Blue Stone Art and Music Festival in Sandy Springs. The event is an official Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race qualifier and includes multiple divisions, including adaptive athlete categories and dog-friendly entries.
Registration includes a race T-shirt, finisher medal, goodie bag, water, and snacks, with some items available while supplies last. T-shirts are guaranteed for those who register by August 28, 2026; after that date shirts are first-come, first-served. Race packet pick up takes place Friday, September 25 at Century East Parking Lot, 6100 Lake Forest Drive, Sandy Springs, GA 30328; additional bib pickup is available at the Start/Finish location before the event.
The course is a primarily flat, out-and-back road route. The event will use a staggered start and offers limited adaptive hand cycles for people with disabilities through a partnership with local recreation and adaptive-sports organizations. Awards will be presented for top overall and masters winners, top dog, top adaptive category winners, and the top three finishers in standard age groups from 11 and under through 70 plus. Awards will not be mailed and should be picked up at the awards table.
Dog rules require a short non-retractable leash no longer than 6 ft and recommend using a harness. Participants are responsible for their dogs, must pick up waste, and should respect the presence of service and working dogs. Dogs are allowed for the race but are not permitted inside the festival grounds; service dogs are permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
