Blue Ridge Running Retreat
The Blue Ridge Running Retreat is a three-day guided trail running getaway hosted by 12th State Endurance in Roaring Gap, North Carolina. The program combines daily guided runs with lodge accommodations, meals prepared on site, and transportation to trailheads. Arrival is Thursday afternoon at the lodge and registration closes August 1, 2026.
Each day features a different guided route that highlights local trails, viewpoints, and water features. Runs include moderate elevation gain, stream crossings, and options for additional mileage on the final day. All runs are guided so participants do not need to navigate routes independently.
Distances:
- Day 1 - approximately 10 miles adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
- Day 2 - approximately 8 miles with scenic viewpoints and historic features.
- Day 3 - approximately 7 miles with optional connecting trails for extra miles.
Lodge amenities include shared common areas, an outside deck with mountain views, a game room, and multiple room types: king suites, queen lofts, and bunk-style rooms. Included with the retreat are pre-run breakfast items, trailhead transportation, lunches prepared by an on-site chef, the first night’s dinner, coaching presentations, and an event running shirt. Evening dinners after the first night are not included. Pets are not permitted. The retreat is recommended for runners comfortable with roughly 10 miles on mountain trails.
