Event overview
The Blue Lobster 4-Miler is scheduled for Sunday, August 2, 2026, in Kennebunk, Maine. The race starts and finishes near Kennebunk Elementary School at 177 Alewive Road and uses an out-and-back route on the Eastern Trail. The event distance is 4 miles and walkers are explicitly welcome. The race donates proceeds to the Kennebunk High School cross country and track boosters. Post-race food is provided by Duffy's Tavern, Kennebunk.
Entry, awards and policies
Entry fees follow tiered pricing: $26 for the early bird period ending April 21, $29 from April 22 to June 15, $34 thereafter, and $39 on race day. The shirt deadline is July 15, subject to availability. Cash prizes will be awarded to overall winners, with additional awards in age-group and team categories. The event has a no-refund policy. If catastrophic weather, a public health crisis, or other extreme events prevent the in-person race, organizers will attempt an alternate date; if that is not possible the race may be converted to a virtual event where participants run the course and submit results.
