Blue Hope Colon Cancer Awareness 5K Walk or Run
The Blue Hope Colon Cancer Awareness 5K Walk or Run is the sixth annual event held on April 4, 2026, at Miramar Regional Park in Miramar, FL. The 5K is chip timed and offers a timed race option. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers and to age-group top three finishers. Participants are encouraged to wear blue for the cause.
Finisher medals, race bibs, and t-shirts are included with registration. The event program includes an opening ceremony and a warm-up session led by a fitness instructor with DJ accompaniment. Family-oriented activities are planned, including a children's corner, entertainment, field events, and food and health vendor presence.
Registration categories and pricing are listed for general 5K entries, a student category for ages 11 to 17, a kids category for ages 6 to 10, and a free registration category for children 5 and under. Group discounts are available: a group of five receives a $15 discount and a group of ten receives a $30 discount.
Proceeds support two programs of We Stand Together, Inc: a Financial Assistance Program that provides emergency funding for living expenses during active cancer treatment, and the Natalie Marc Surpris Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to undergraduate students affected by cancer or with a parent affected by or deceased from the disease.
