Blue Devil Endurance Challenge
The Blue Devil Endurance Challenge is a last-person-standing event held in Zanesville, Ohio. The competition uses a recurring interval format where participants must complete a 1-mile segment every 15 minutes. A horn signals the start of each new segment. To remain in the race, runners must return to the start-finish line before the next 15-minute interval begins.
The point-to-point route starts at Zanesville Middle School. The course follows the Joe's Run Trail, which is a paved and partially shaded path. The turnaround point is located 1 mile from the starting line. Once a participant finishes a segment, they can wait in designated rest areas until the next interval starts. These rest areas are located at both ends of the course and provide drinks and snacks for the participants.
The event is organized by the Zanesville Soccer Boosters, a non-profit organization. The proceeds from the race support several local soccer teams at Zanesville High School and Zanesville Middle School. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
