Blue Devil Endurance Challenge
The Blue Devil Endurance Challenge is a last person standing running event held in Zanesville, Ohio. The event uses a repeating 15 minute cycle: every 15 minutes participants start a one-mile road and sidewalk segment. Runners must return to the start/finish area before the next horn to continue; failing to do so ends that participant's race.
The course is a point-to-point route that begins at Zanesville Middle School and follows the paved, partially shaded Joe's Run Trail to a turnaround located one mile from the start. Both the start and the turnaround have designated rest areas stocked with drinks and snacks where participants may wait until the next interval begins.
This is the fourth annual running of the event. Registration opens January 9, 2026 and closes June 13, 2026. The listed registration fee is $30. The event is presented by Zanesville Soccer Boosters, a registered 501(c)(3) organization that supports Zanesville High School Boys and Girls and Zanesville Middle School Boys and Girls soccer teams.
