2026 Block Island Half Marathon
The 7th Annual Block Island Half Marathon takes place on October 11, 2026, with the course beginning and ending at the Fred Benson Town Beach Pavilion on Corn Neck Road in Block Island, RI.
The route first heads north along a flat stretch, then rises through a sequence of gentler and steeper hills with several turns. Runners pass the Great Salt Pond, beach dunes and the North Lighthouse before turning back for a loop around the west side of the island. That section includes additional hills and turns and travels past rolling pastures, stone walls, farmhouses and views of the Atlantic. The final section descends Airport Hill and returns to the pavilion.
Event logistics noted by the organizer include an entry fee of $50 that is non refundable and guaranteed T shirts for all preregistered runners. Water stops are available approximately every 3 miles.
