Blithfield Olympic Triathlon & Aquabike
Blithfield Olympic Triathlon & Aquabike takes place at Blithfield Reservoir in Staffordshire. The reservoir covers about 790 acres and was opened in 1952. Much of the surrounding woodland is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The event offers Aquabike, Individual Triathlon and Relay options. The swim is 1.5K in the deep water of the reservoir and is completed over two laps. The bike course is also two laps; it is described as rolling and fast and includes a total elevation gain of 355M. The run consists of two laps combining trail and road surfaces with 22M of elevation. Entry fees are listed as £79 for Aquabike and Individual Triathlon entries and £89 for relay entries. The event organiser is PMA Racing.
Course descriptions specify lap counts and elevation for bike and run but do not state exact bike or run distances. The setting is rural and includes areas of protected woodland around the reservoir. Information about entries and event options is published for each of the three race formats. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
