Blended Trails Backyard Ultra
The course runs on private trails around a central event camp at Chilton Manor Farm, Chilton Candover, Hampshire SO24 9TY. The loop skirts open fields, sheltered woodland and farm tracks, rises to Bugmore Hill Trig Point with views across the South Downs and the Candovers, and includes a short wooded section through Godsfield Copse that returns runners to base camp. The route is described as varied terrain with single-track sections, steady inclines and faster stretches.
The event follows a Backyard Ultra format made up of repeated laps of the marked loop, reported to measure about 6.7 km per lap. The course is well signed and marshalled, and participants have access to a base camp with aid station provisions, toilets and some female hygiene supplies. Photographers covered the course and photos were provided without charge. Event access is via Spiers Lane with signage directing traffic from Alresford and the Candovers. Entry was listed at £105 for the event offer on record.
Participant feedback in attendee reports noted strong organisation, a friendly atmosphere, a well stocked aid station and occasionally limited overtaking where the route narrows. The setting is described as remote and scenic, with opportunities for sunset views across rolling Hampshire countryside during later laps.
