Cowdray Autumn Trail Run
The event takes place on Saturday 10 October 2026 at Cowdray Farm Shop & Cafe, Midhurst, GU29 0AJ. It is the fourth year of the Run The Seasons series and coincides with the Cowdray Farm Shop Apple Day.
Distances offered include:
- 10 mile
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 3 km kids run
Courses are mainly on bridleways, footpaths, the Serpent Trail and the Sussex Diamond Way, with some sections on private land made available by the Cowdray Estate. Routes are undulating and include steep uphill and downhill sections, gravel, sand, mud and rocky stretches. The 10 km route passes through ancient woodland and rises toward Bexley Hill. The 10 mile route extends onto the Serpent Trail through Verdley Wood and Henley before returning on a technical descent. Part of the 5 km route runs within the Deer Park and among historic trees.
Age categories and series details: the 3 km kids runs are for ages 6 to 11 and junior 5 km runs are for ages 12 to 15, based on age on race day. Parents may run with children in the 3 km race. A 15 percent discount applies when entering all four Junior or Kids races in the same order. Race numbers can be collected on the day.
